Why We Monitor Vitals
ADHD medications (stimulants and non-stimulants) act on the central nervous system. While highly effective, they can lead to small increases in blood pressure or heart rate.
- Safety First: We need to ensure these changes remain within clinically acceptable limits.
- Titration Precision: Vitals data helps our lead clinician, Naruschka Henriques, decide if your dose should be increased, maintained, or adjusted.

The Equipment Checklist
You do not need to visit a hospital to get clinic-grade data. We require:
- Upper-Arm Monitor: A BHS-approved automated monitor (e.g., Omron). Wrist cuffs are not accepted due to lower accuracy.
- Digital Scales: For weekly weight tracking, as some medications can impact appetite.
